CROSSING
CULTURES
Client: WhatsApp (Meta)
RoleS: Designer, Creative Development
Presented by WhatsApp, Crossing Cultures is a short-form docuseries exploring identity and connection within global immigrant communities. Each episode highlights a specific diaspora—such as the Japanese community in São Paulo or the Turkish community in Berlin—as host Jessica Nabongo explores how heritage is honored in new environments.
Developed by the team at Monks, I joined the project during the creative development and production phases to design the series' visual identity. Using WhatsApp’s core branding as a foundation, I created the series logo and a comprehensive motion graphics system, including lower-thirds, location markers, and pull-quotes, to ensure a cohesive look across the social media-first series.
